Decade in Review...

2000: I enjoyed the first year of my oldest son Brendan. Went to Australia for my brother-in-law's wedding. We visited Melbourne & Sydney and had an amazing time!

2001: Found out on Jan 1st that I was pregnant with Daniel. It was both exciting and scary at the same time. Went to Mexico to visit my parents all while I was 6.5 months pregnant! Got up on 9/11 to go to the hospital to have Daniel & learned about the attacks in NYC. Totally scared to bring a child in the world. 9/12 at 1am, Daniel entered the world and all was good. Didn't sleep at all the rest of the year :-)

2002: We thought it was so much fun in Australia we went back. Way different travelling with 2 toddlers! Tried to do Mexico and again, not so much fun travelling out of the country with 2 toddlers. Oh, and we remodeled the kitchen and lived with my in laws for 2 months.

2003: Brendan started preschool. It was harder on me than him. We took our first trip to Disneyland & loved experiencing the park through a child's eye.

2004: Both kids now in preschool! I went back to work part-time at Williams-Sonoma and bought many cool gadgets. Went back to Mexico and had a better time.

2005: Brendan now in kindergarten. Daniel in preschool and kids playing soccer. Signed up to be room mom and began lots of volunteering.

2006: Went to Mexico and learned that it's hard to pull kids out of school for a week & think they want to do their schoolwork on vacation. Still volunteered like crazy and was room mom again.

2007: Both kids in elementary school! Got roped into being room mom for both kids' classes. Started to go back to church and study my faith in depth. Brendan joined Cub Scouts & I learned all about the Law of the Pack & the Pinewood Derby. Also went to a Mom & Son camp and had a blast!!

2008: I learned how to sit on my hands & not volunteer for EVERYTHING. Became den mom for Daniel's Tiger Den. Went to Lake Tulloch & boated for a few days.

2009: Started the new year in Disneyland with friends and had the best time. Got rained out the Mom & Son camp but hung in there as long as I could. Got laid off one job and got another one at a candy store & lost 6 pounds.
